Hey guys,
Just a quick post today to share with you an amusing product I spotted on Amazon.com – well the product itself isn’t that amusing but the price tag certainly is!
For just $726, 244, you could own a wooden step stool that converts into a toddler chair lol.
The Amazon reviews are equally amusing. S Crowell says:
Some people may ask, why pay three quarters of a million dollars for a step stool? Well, sir, I would say to that critic, can you put a price tag on the independence of reaching both hot AND cold water faucets, or what about turning off a light switch? Perhaps we should all be forced to remain at a single foot’s disadvantage while the stoolers (those people with stools, mind you) heckle at us from their high perch. Perhaps we should all be forced to forever look up at our lofty dreams and know they are just barely out of reach!
Certainly not! And so, boosted by the power of these five primary colors and a stencil of my first two names, I have chosen to rise above such cynicism – though not by much. I can now engage in such activities as jumping down, and back up. I can almost kick my foot over my brother’s head. And, instead of having to sit on the hard stupid ground, NOW I can sit on a wood paneled chair just slightly ABOVE the ground! All the pain of what would never be has been erased.
Therefore, I iterate that there is no price too great to pay for the chance to stand slightly higher than the person next to you, and then to laugh down at them. Act fast, this valued price may not last once true stooling catches on!
and Rob T says:
I have no regrets spending my entire retirement, seven times over, for this wonderful toy. It is perfect, and undoubtedly a bargain. My kids love to step on the stool, and step off afterwards! It’s just simply the funnest toy ever. Plus, built in one of the fastest growing and innovative economies in the world, it’s build quality is such that it might just last for a whole MONTH, or even TWO!! That’s right, two months of wholesome fun for your kids, at a cost of just a little over a simple family ticket to outer space. Shock and awe!! What an excellent toy, and a generous offer!
Of course, it’s just a typo by someone with fat fingers but it certainly made me chuckle
Update 28/10/2011: This page became so popular that I decided to track down more of these funny reviews and created a website dedicated to them – check out Funny Reviews dot org.
