Hey Guys,

I’ve just returned from a shopping trip with my good pal, Tommo, where we’ve been testing out toy electric cars for his twin boys 4th birthday(s).

Because he’s got twins and limited storage space, he was after a two-seater that they could share as a joint birthday present (cue the arguments of who’s driving)!

Anywho, a lot of fun was had by us both despite us being unable to fit in them properly (being a measly 5’6″ it was a little easier for me than it was for Tommo who’s over 6 foot).

They all use pretty much the same chassis and are powered by a 12 volt battery so the buying decision really comes down to how cool you want your kid to look. Interestingly – and it’s something new I learned today – the naming and image rights for big-named car manufacturers are licenced to kiddy electric car manufacturers. So you’re going to be paying and extra £50-£100 (or even more) if you want your kid to have a Ferrari rather than an unbranded ‘sports car’.

So, here’s a look at what me and Tommo thought were the coolest 2 seater electric cars on the market:

Yellow Lambourghini

The top spot is taken by the yellow lambourghini. It was a close call between this and the Ferrari and even though I prefer Ferraris, I love the colour yellow more!

Red Ferrari

In second place (actually, I’m going to change it to joint first) is the Red Ferrari.

White Coupe

Which takes the white coupe up from third to second place :)

And next is the red sports car – unbranded but it looks cool.

Silver Sports Car

And only slightly cooler than it’s silver cousin.

I wasn’t too keen on this one, but Tommo (being a farmer boy) insisted it was included.

Yellow Hummer

If I had to choose a more meatier motor, this Hummer would be it – and it’s in awesome yellow, too :)

You can get all of these at great prices over at this website but they run out of stock very quickly, so if you see one you like,I’d advise grabbing it quickly.

As well as all these cool electric cars for kids, there’s also a few that looked awful – I’ll be updating this post soon to show you the darker side of kids electric 2 seater vehicles so stay tuned (the ugliest kids 2 seater electric cars can be found here). I’m late for a date so gotta dash.
